Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Wagter app, website, and related services (the “Service”). By creating an account, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the Service is lawful where you are located.
2. Your account
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
- You must provide accurate information where required.
- You may not impersonate another person or entity, create misleading or fraudulent accounts, or use another user’s account without permission.
- You may not bypass suspensions, restrictions, or other enforcement actions.
- Certain account details, including username and email address, may not be changeable after registration.
- We may suspend, restrict, or terminate accounts where necessary for safety, integrity, legal compliance, or violations of these Terms.
3. Your content
You retain ownership of the content you create and post to the Service.
By posting content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, process, adapt, format, display, distribute, moderate, and make available your content as necessary to operate, secure, improve, and provide the Service.
You represent and warrant that:
- you own the content you post or have the necessary rights to post it;
- your content does not violate law or the rights of others; and
- your content complies with these Terms.
4. Privacy and safety

We may use automated tools and human review where appropriate to detect and address content or behavior that may violate these Terms, harm users, harm animals or wildlife-related communities, harm the Service, or create legal or safety risks.
5. Prohibited content and conduct
You may not use Wagter to post, share, promote, or engage in content or conduct that includes:
- illegal activity or unlawful content;
- harassment, bullying, stalking, threats, or intimidation;
- hate speech or content targeting protected groups;
- sexual exploitation or sexually abusive material;
- graphic violence or glorification of violence;
- animal cruelty, abuse, exploitation, or content promoting harm to animals;
- illegal wildlife trade, trafficking, poaching, or content promoting harm to wildlife;
- impersonation, fraud, scams, phishing, or deceptive conduct;
- copyright, trademark, privacy, or other rights violations;
- spam, fake engagement, scraping, or abusive automation;
- attempts to bypass moderation, safety systems, or enforcement controls;
- abusive or false reporting;
- misuse of creator-only, trusted-only, or limited-access features;
- misleading manipulated or AI-generated content that creates material harm, deception, or misinformation; or
- any other content or conduct that we reasonably believe is unsafe, abusive, unlawful, deceptive, or inconsistent with the purpose of the Service.
6. Public and private accounts
Wagter offers public and private account settings.
- Public accounts: content may be visible more broadly through the Service and sharing features.
- Private accounts: follow requests must be approved before approved followers can access private content made available through the Service.
You are responsible for choosing your settings carefully and understanding that other users may still capture, copy, or reshare content they can access.
7. Reports, blocking, and user controls
Wagter may provide tools such as reporting, blocking, muting, and restricting. These tools are provided to improve safety and user control.
You may not misuse these tools, including by submitting knowingly false, abusive, or bad-faith reports.
8. Enforcement
We may investigate and take action regarding content, accounts, and behavior that we believe may violate these Terms, applicable law, or the safety and integrity of the Service.
Our actions may include:
- removing content;
- limiting visibility or distribution;
- disabling features;
- restricting interactions;
- placing additional review requirements on accounts or content;
- suspending accounts; and
- permanently terminating accounts.
We may take action without prior notice where necessary for safety, legal compliance, abuse prevention, fraud prevention, or protection of the Service.
8A. Trusted creator and creator-only features
Wagter may grant certain accounts access to creator-only, trusted-only, experimental, limited-access, or staged-rollout features, including custom post interactions, feature-limited posting tools, advanced creation tools, testing access, or future creator features.
Such access is optional, limited, may vary by account, region, rollout stage, safety review, or product testing, and may be changed, restricted, disabled, reviewed, suspended, or revoked at any time for safety, trust, abuse prevention, platform integrity, policy, legal, operational, or quality reasons.
Access to these features does not create any ongoing entitlement, guarantee, business relationship, or promise of future availability. We may also apply additional review standards, content limits, or eligibility criteria to accounts or content using such features.

9. Account deletion
You may request deletion of your account through the in-app deletion flow or, if you cannot access the app, through: Delete account
Deletion is intended to be permanent. Once completed, deleted accounts are not recoverable.
10. Third-party services
The Service may rely on third-party services and infrastructure for authentication, hosting, storage, delivery, notifications, support, moderation support, diagnostics, and related functions. Your use of certain third-party features may also be subject to applicable third-party terms.
11. Intellectual property
The Service, excluding user content, includes software, branding, designs, text, graphics, and other materials owned by or licensed to us and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse engineer, scrape, or exploit the Service except as permitted by law or with our written permission.
12. Disclaimers
The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, permanent availability of any content, or that the Service will always be secure or free from harmful components.
13. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenues, goodwill, data, or opportunities arising out of or related to your use of the Service.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
14. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time.
We may suspend or terminate your access at any time where we reasonably believe it is necessary for safety, legal compliance, abuse prevention, protection of users, or protection of the Service.
Sections that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply after termination, including sections relating to content licenses, intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, enforcement, creator-only feature controls, and legal compliance.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we may provide notice through the Service or by other appropriate means. Your continued use of the Service after the updated Terms become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
16. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to the operator and the Service, except where mandatory law provides otherwise.
