Wagter (“Wagter,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is operated by Benni Christober Christoper Rajan. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, store, and protect information when you use the Wagter app, website, and related services (the “Service”).

1. Eligibility
Wagter is intended only for users who are at least 18 years old. You must not use the Service if you are under 18.
2. Information we collect
We may collect the following categories of information:
- Account and registration information: email address, username, display name, authentication-related identifiers, and sign-in method such as email/password or Google sign-in.
- Profile information: profile photo, bio, privacy settings, and other profile details you choose to provide.
- Content you create and share: photos, videos, stories, captions, comments, reports, and related upload or delivery metadata.
- Activity and usage information: likes, follows, views, comments, story interactions, reports, blocks, mutes, restrictions, and related safety or trust signals used to operate and protect the Service.
- Device, technical, and log information: IP address, device type, operating system, app version, language or region settings, server logs, and security or diagnostic events.
- Push notification information: push notification tokens and related app-instance identifiers needed to deliver notifications.
3. How we use information
- Create and manage user accounts.
- Authenticate users and secure access.
- Provide feeds, profiles, posts, stories, sharing features, and related app functionality.
- Deliver push notifications such as likes, comments, follows, and important service messages.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, improve, and protect the Service.
- Detect, prevent, and respond to spam, abuse, fraud, policy violations, and security threats.
- Review reports, enforce our rules, and protect users, animals, wildlife-related communities, and the Service.
- Comply with legal obligations and respond to valid legal requests.
4. Content moderation and safety
To help keep Wagter safe, we may review content and account activity using automated tools and, where appropriate, human review.
This may include review of uploaded images, videos, stories, captions, reports, and related activity for safety, abuse prevention, policy enforcement, service integrity, and legal compliance.
Content may be limited, removed, or otherwise acted on if we believe it violates our rules, creates a safety risk, is deceptive in a harmful way, is inappropriate for the Service, or is otherwise inconsistent with these policies.
In some cases, action may be taken without advance notice where necessary for safety, legal compliance, abuse prevention, fraud prevention, or protection of the Service.
5. Public and private accounts
Wagter allows users to choose between public and private accounts.
- Public accounts: profile and shared content may be visible to other users and may be accessible through sharing features.
- Private accounts: follow requests must be approved before approved followers can access private content made available through the Service.
Blocking, restricting, or muting users may also limit how your content or activity is shown or how other users can interact with you.
6. How we share information
We do not sell personal data.
We may share information:
- With service providers that help us operate the Service, such as authentication, hosting, storage, content delivery, notifications, support, security, moderation support, and diagnostics providers.
- When you choose to share content publicly or with other users through the Service.
- When disclosure is required by law, legal process, or to protect users, the public, animals, wildlife-related communities, or the Service.
- In connection with a business transfer, reorganization, or sale, if that happens in the future.
7. International processing and storage
Your information may be processed and stored in countries where our infrastructure or service providers operate. We take reasonable steps to protect information when it is processed or stored across jurisdictions.
8. Data retention
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.
- Account and profile information: while your account remains active.
- User content: until you delete it, your account is deleted, or longer where necessary for legal, safety, abuse-prevention, or operational reasons.
- Reports: only as long as needed to review and resolve the report, typically within about 2 days.
- Safety, abuse, or legal enforcement information: for longer if reasonably necessary to investigate abuse, enforce our rules, protect the Service, or comply with legal obligations.
- Server and security logs: for a limited period reasonably necessary for security, troubleshooting, and reliability.
- Push notification tokens: until they are refreshed, removed, become inactive, are no longer needed, or your account is deleted.
9. Account deletion
You can request account deletion from within the app through Settings by following the deletion flow and completing the required confirmation steps.
If you cannot access the app, you can submit a deletion request through: https://www.wagters.com/delete-account
Once a deletion request is fully confirmed, we aim to delete the account and associated data from active systems as soon as reasonably possible, typically within 10 days and no later than 15 days, unless a longer period is required for technical, legal, security, fraud-prevention, or abuse-prevention reasons.
Account deletion is intended to be permanent and irreversible. Once deletion is completed, the account cannot be restored.
10. Your rights and choices
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to access your personal data, request correction of inaccurate data, request deletion of your data, object to or restrict certain processing, or request portability of certain data.

11. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal data. However, no method of transmission, storage, or processing is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
12. Children
The Service is not intended for anyone under 18. If we believe that a person under 18 has created an account or provided personal data, we may remove the account and associated information.
13. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we may provide notice through the Service or by other appropriate means. Your continued use of the Service after the updated Privacy Policy becomes effective means the updated Privacy Policy applies.
